Some people possess a burning desire to teach.  But desire is not enough.  Teaching is a skill that few people are really endowed with, and teaching well is almost an art form.  We have found out that excellent students usually make the best instructors.  The desire to gain knowledge seems to be directly tied to the desire to transfer knowledge.

So, the first step to joining our team is to take every class, show us what an excellent student you are, and endear yourself to our team.

We will also want you to (at a minimum) get your NRA Basic Pistol Instructor and Range Safety Officer certifications.  The NRA has a fantastic instructor program that is student-centric and fits very well with our attitude toward teaching.

It may seem like a lot, but at the end of the process, we will be sure that you have the attitude, drive, desire and skills needed to be an effective instructor.  But more important, by going through this process, you will develop the experience, knowledge and confidence to become a truly amazing teacher.
